The Gate Stock by Kernow and/or EFE.
This is superb model.
I missed out the first time around but not wanting to on the second batch.
There was one thing that has been bugging me with it, not that I'm a perfectionist, actually a friend of mine pointed it out to me and it has been bugging me ever since.
The drop lights have been painted onto the glass as opposed to the window frame. Today, I thought I would have ago at rectifying this. Actually a fairly easy fix.
The body snapes away, the glass section is only lightly glued in, that's a bonus.
It looks like it's 3 sections but be careful as they are joined together as one piece. A sharp blade breaks the glue joints and will lift out. You do not need to remove the drivers end section.
You need to do this to remove the paint from the glass. I used tCut and a cotton bud, it will come away eventually, do not use thinners or white spirit it will 'cloud' the glass.
Turning to the body, you can now paint the window surround. I used Humbrol No 62, I dapped some thinner on and then the paint, it should carry the paint around in a sort of capillary action. When dry replace glass and body. I just dapped a couple of spot of Glue and Glaze on just to hold the glass in place.
Doesn't that look better.
