About Me

My photo
When i left school back then i was lucky enough to enroll on an engineering apprenticeship. I think this lead me in good stead. I was always one of those children that pulled things apart but actually put them back together again. My first engine given to me at the age of Seven, a Triang Princess Elizabeth. The rest as they say is History. Later in life i got back in to Model Railways and started building Pine Road. This could lead anywhere so i hope you enjoy my Blog.

Exton Quay, some more photos

I have taken some more pics of Exton Quay.
We have a new addition, after reading up a bit about them it could be presumed that they may of had a visit to Exton Quay. While solely used on the Wenford branch in later years, they had a long trip to Eastleigh every 20,000 miles or so for a service. Whos to say they didn't pay there way on route.
Bettie well tank Dapol/Kernow

She is one of the original Dapol/Kernow models and has been in her box and never run for some years now.
A bit of lubrication and some running in, she is now a good performer, perhaps a shade on the light side but still does the job.
She started life as one of the BR models, a re-number in to 0314, painted SR lined black, some weathering and she looks the business. I also took the BR plate off the smoke box door and added new windows, sprat & winkle couplings and head code disc relating to Exeter/Exmouth, job done.
I am waiting driver and fireman but will pick those up at Bracknell.

I shall leave you to enjoy the photos.
